Local kids got to be textile designers for a day at Thrall Library. Madona Cole-Lacy, a textile artist, fashion designer and instructor, brought scarves and T-shirts for the kids to decorate and showed them how to make patterns out of stiff paper, dip them in paint and use them to stamp cloth. She also brought a tribal stamp from her home country, the Republic of Sierra Leone in West Africa, for the children to incorporate in their design.
